I live in algeria 
the capital ,algiers ,which is not very touristic but there are many towns like constantina , beautifully built on a big rock broke up in four parts since ages and communicating with lots of bridges like venice

here are  pictures on wall tiles from algiers in a very popular place 
one is representing a bridge from constantina with its wild waters (not so wild actually,level of water has decreased since many years)
